Join Us in Celebrating the Arts!

Dartmouth College is your gateway to a world of artistic expression at the Hopkins Center for the Arts and the Hood Museum of Art! From world-class artists to spectacular student productions, there is much to experience. Our doors are open to all! Come and be a part of our vibrant community, where creativity thrives and every visit is an opportunity to be inspired.

The Hop is a hub for performing arts and film on campus and in the surrounding community. Everyone is invited to experience the arts! Opportunities range from world-class visiting artists to Dartmouth’s own exceptional student ensembles. The Hop is committed to engaging with the Upper Valley community, including through a variety of free programming and community partnerships.

The Hood is home to one of the oldest and largest university art collections in the country, with 65,000 pieces in the Hood’s care. The collection spans a broad range of cultures and historical periods, representing six continents. Make sure to check out the six Assyrian stone reliefs from the palace of Ashurnasirpal II (about 900 BCE) and the stunning fresco by José Clemente Orozco titled The Epic of American Civilization (1932–34), which is now a National Historic Landmark. Admission is always free!
